Publishing your site (now or later)
Your site has two versions: the draft you see in the editor, and the live site your customers see. Nothing you do in the editor touches the live site until you publish.
Publish now
When your draft looks right, click Publish in the editor (or just tell the chat "publish my site"). Within a few seconds your changes are live at your web address.
You can publish as often as you like. Small fix at 9pm? Publish it. There's no limit and no waiting period.
Schedule it for later
Want changes to go live at a specific time — say, a holiday menu that should appear Friday at 8am? Tell the chat: "Publish this Friday at 8am." Your draft will go live automatically at that time, and you'll get an email confirming it happened.
To cancel a scheduled publish, just say "cancel the scheduled publish."
Good to know
- Publishing is safe. If you publish something and regret it, you can restore an earlier version and publish again. See Undo and versions.
- Your draft is never lost. Closing the editor without publishing keeps all your edits waiting for you.
- First publish? Your site goes live on a free heyolive web address right away. Connecting your own domain (like yourbusiness.com) is a separate quick step — see Connect your own domain.
That's really all there is to it: edit until you're happy, then publish.
