Getting started: build your first site
Welcome to heyolive! Building your first website takes about five minutes, and you don't need to know anything about computers to do it.
How it works
When you sign up, we ask a few simple questions about your business — your name, what you do, where you are, and how customers can reach you. If your business is on Google, we can pull most of this in for you so you barely have to type.
From your answers, heyolive builds a complete website: a home page, your services, photos, a contact form, the works. It's not a blank page you have to fill in — it's a finished site you get to polish.
What to do first
- Look through every page. Click around like a customer would. Does everything sound like you?
- Fix anything that feels off. Open the editor and just tell the AI chat what to change: "Make the headline friendlier" or "Change the phone number to 555-1234."
- Add your own photos. Real photos of your work beat stock photos every time. See Photos: upload, generate, or find one.
- Hit Publish when it looks right. See Publishing your site.
You can't break anything
Every change can be undone, and your site isn't live until you publish it. Experiment freely — see Undo and versions if you want the safety net explained.
If you get stuck at any point, just ask the chat inside the editor — it can make almost any change for you. And if you're really stuck, contact us. A real person reads every message.
